And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.”
Oh I missed the Montana skies and mountains but I’m glad I can experience them through your beautiful photos. I’m glad you are enjoying the family this week and that this afternoon you’re taking some time out to just relax. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the peace.
Thank you, Laina… yes, I am enjoying it. But, also, we are going to spend the day tomorrow in Yellowstone – and I want us to come back here for dinner rather than eating out again. So, I am making a chicken casserole that we can pop in the microwave to warm up tomorrow when we get home.
Isn’t it lovely to have friends and family with whom everyone is comfortable enough to do this? When John and I traveled to several national parks with my cousin Jenny, they would go hike a tougher trail while I read or people watched. They didn’t miss out and I enjoyed needed recuperation time. That, for me, is a meaningful kind of peace!
Jan, I can feel the peace in your words and photos. Yes, the double rainbow is just visible. I haven’t seen on for quite sometime. My daughter in Bozeman told me that the first day of summer left a gift on top of the Bridger Mountains. Snow!!

Yes, Dana, that’s exactly what I’m enjoying … also time to prepare tomorrow’s casserole when we get home from a day in Yellowstone.
Simply beautiful!

Ah, the snow on the Bridgers was duplicated in our Madison Range visible from our house. What a treat, huh?
Nothing like a summer snow cone to complement a day at Meadow Lake.
Yay! Sounds good to me! 😘
