It is Christmas Eve
Santa is loading his sleigh
Wisemen on their way

Presents under tree
Just like those of Wisemen three
Selected with care

Praying Christmas is
A time to stop and believe
Why we celebrate

Enjoy family
Cherish all the memories
Praise God for His Son!

Cochlear implant
Brings back the world of hearing
Best Christmas of all!

Merry Christmas!
The following poem was inspired by the message from our visiting pastor this morning, Phil Taylen.

Be anxious about nothing
Let your requests be known
To God who hears your pleas
In you, His love has always shone

Read one chapter of Philippians each day for a week
Your life will catch the contagious joy
God has a plan for your life
He’s sending that message daily through His Boy!

Don’t let your struggles pull you down
Lean on Jesus and celebrate His love
Behold, the Savior of the world is here
God sent His Son for us from Heaven above.

Philippians 2:2
New International Version
then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.
New Living Translation
Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
English Standard Version
complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.
Hallelujah!
Take Joy!!

JanBeek

Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?
“Don’t forget your medication!“
On my soapbox: “Try not to aggravate that incision site! The bruise is increasing. Try sleeping on your other side.”

The world is my stage … and home is where the speeches begin!
Have I performed on a public stage? Oh yes… with my accordion and with my clarinet many times. And at school assemblies when I was the school principal. There my audiences tuned in a lot better than this bruised up husband of mine!
But for now, speeches take a backseat… and I’m past the need for stages.
I am past the need for public stages, but I do enjoy giving a “speech” (an inspirational message) once a month at our local women’s club!
Besides that though, I just wanna sit the sit!!

(here’s the latest on Bob) – ouch!!

Bob’s surgery (the insertion of a cochlear implant) is done. Lots of prayers for him… and they are really appreciated. Thank you, my WordPress friends. Now, the request is for successful healing and a safe drive home tomorrow (it’s 400 miles) and there’s a possibility of snow.

And praying for all this to be worth it. Ultimately- better hearing. Please!
Love, JanBeek

Bob’s in surgery as I type this. He’s getting a cochlear implant. Praying the surgery goes without a hitch and the end result will bring him back into the world of better hearing. Prayers appreciated.

Love from
JanBeek
