Live Well
Love Much
Laugh Often
What have you done recently that demonstrates
your desire to LIVE WELL intentionally?
Who have you loved recently that demonstrates
your desire to LOVE intentionally?
When have you laughed last in a way that demonstrates
your desire to LAUGH, living in JOY, intentionally?
Ponder these questions – and make this
Happy Thursday a day you can answer
these questions – easily and intentionally!
Time with fam-i-ly
What very precious moments
Making memories
Add friends to the mix
Enrich and share enjoyment
That’s the spice of life!
Bob enjoying his buddies in La Quinta at the polo field
Alicia with “Doodles” sharing love at Loleta’s baptism
Our son and daughter-in-love with our grandson
(He treated them to dinner as a thank you for all their kindness & hospitality this month)
My nutty husband of 57 years, Bob, on the occasion of our last California dinner,
for now…
It’s been a wonderful break
from the Montana snow and cold.
Today we head back home.
Stay tuned for more love shared
between family and friends,
… and more fun!
What have you done with family and friends this January?
Come and sit a spell
Enjoy the quiet with me
Trees and I … silence
Chair in the shadows
Waiting for you to come sit
Open a good book

Walk the wooded path
Listen to the leaves rustle
Silence is broken

Inspired by Ps. 145:5, Kim Taylor Henry in “Daily Guideposts” wrote the following devotional:
I thought Kim Taylor Henry’s writing was wonderful. It inspired me to want to make better use of adjectives. What did you think about it?
Google her and see what else she has written. It’s an impressive list. Whose use of adjectives inspires you?
Walking On the Sand
Today I am putting on
a purple shirt of majesty.
I am walking through the desert
As a queen in her sand castle.

Walk with me!
Enjoy the desert beauty.
The clear blue sky is my ceiling.
The palm trees stand like
guardian statues on the path –
Majestic and serene.

Shadows fall from the sun
setting behind the graceful fronds.
I will examine the trees’ trunks,
seeing a text of eternity.
I’ll consider the roadrunners
as students of our January summer.
I will scour the sky for signs
as if my future were written upon it.
I will walk with my best friend
in mutual silence;
Disciples in the desert,
in praise of its mysteries.
Time to go.
I’ll be back.
Heads Up!!

Do you know polo?
We watched a game on Sunday.
A beautiful day!
Looks gray, but that’s just poor photography. It was really a bright blue sky!
Amazing horses
Beautiful, fast, and graceful –
Failed on the race track!
Most polo horses
Were intended as racers,
But didn’t make it.
They are thoroughbreds –
Quick and lean, agile and smart.
Marvelous creatures!
See their potential –
Successful polo ponies…
Purchased, groomed, and loved!
Across the driveway
El Dorado Polo Lake
Home to duck family
They swim unaware
Of the drama in the air:
Score tied five to five.
Celebrating crowds
Cheer their horses and riders
On to victory!
If you get a chance,
Try to watch a polo match.
Love that horse finesse!
We returned to the polo area in La Quinta, CA today and watched the groomer shave this beautiful thoroughbred, getting him ready for next weekend’s game.
Bob, my husband, talked to one of the horse trainers.
Bob had a million questions.
So much to learn!
Always curious.
