Fun with Family

We had fun with family last weekend.
We celebrated our great-granddaughter,
Charlotte’s first birthday
with an outing to the Olive Garden
in Bozeman, Montana.

What a cutiepie, huh?

Her brother, Xander (almost seven)
and her sister, Sienna (4)
received stuffed animals
as special gifts from my friend, Ted.
So kind of him! The kids loved ’em!!

Xander enjoyed sharing Charlotte’s new books with her.

The children’s mom (our granddaughter, Hope)
and Pam (the kids’ paternal grandmother)
made it possible for us all to be together.
We’re so grateful!

1 Timothy 5:8

“But if anyone does not provide for his relatives,
and especially for members of his household,
he has denied the faith
and is worse than an unbeliever.”

Oh my! What an important scripture, huh?
The operative word is “provide.”
There are many ways to do so…
and having fun with them
on special occasions
is definitely one of them!

Tell me about fun you have had with family recently!

Fun to look back at
Fun with Family!

I’m sending my Love to you today.
I pray you have an opportunity today
(or soon)
to have
FUN WITH FAMILY!

With hugs,
JanBeek

What a wonderful time and great photos! I love the flashback photo of you from 2015! I’m blessed that my daughters live so close to me so I see them often but they celebrated my oldest daughter Katy’s 30th birthday this week far away at Disney World. I missed them! I look forward to celebrating your big birthday again with you MomBee in person in July! 🥰

    • I responded to this via my phone, but it didn’t show up here, so let me repeat: We are sooo looking forward to your visit! We thank you so much for sharing your time (and $$ to fly) this July to help us celebrate my 85th! It’ll be so special to have you here! Thank you, LainaLainaLaina. We love you bunches!!

Wow, how timely. I’ve been considering my grandfather’s tools today and what to become of them when I’m no longer here to use them. Most are in the 80-90 year old range. I cherish them greatly. However, Alice’s grandchildren are the type not to do the same. My twin, Patty, whom I haven’t had contact with has two sons. But as I don’t know them , I don’t know their disposition. My little sister, Paula has grandchildren, but they’re cerebrally compromised. So many memories locked up in these possessions. And I know they will last another hundred years, easily. I’ve been thinking about a donation to a museum, probably one of agriculture, as my grandfather came from an agricultural background. I think he would appreciate that. I’d like to be able to provide for my family and descendants, but sadly, I don’t know if that is possible. So this post especially has me thinking. Jokingly, this morning, Alice and I were talking about her grandchildren. As the only grandparent who was successful, the grandchildren are looking at the day when their grandmother leaves them a substantial inheritance. The phrase to describe this in the limited understanding of their generation is “grandma got bucks”. Everything else will be pawned for more dollars and they’ll hope to get the house in Sedona Az. Meanwhile, they don’t call or write. Sad. No memories there.

    • Can’t click “like” on this. It’s sad when our children & grandchildren don’t seem to value the things that are precious to us.
