You may not recall this, but a trait I received from my grandfather was his love of flowers. My earliest recollections were the daffodils, hyacinths and tulips he grew. At 4000 ft level of Arizona daffodils and hyacinths have been up for a month and the tulips for about a week. The season here goes from cold of winter to summer over a two to three week period. The heat here now is shortening my joy, and soon they will be gone. Then I start, another 11 months waiting for spring in my garden. Happy first day of spring.
