This Dim Little Light

This dim little light
Is all that I have to give,
But I’ll let it shine.

John 1:5

“His life is the light that shines through the darkness –
and the darkness can never extinguish it.”

Even if my light
Is only a flickering
I know it matters

When I realize
My light remains connected
To His Source, I shine.

I shine more brightly
Because I invite Him in:
“Fuel my battery!”

Plug me in to YOU!!
I need Your Beloved Source!
Fuel my little light.

Little light of mine
Shine brightly into the world
Let God’s love show through

When life becomes hard
Don’t make your countenance grim
Turn your eyes toward Him

He’ll light your candle
He’ll flip the electric switch
He’ll send out His Son!

Yesterday was hard
I posted a note on-line
Asking for some help

But in the process
I named a non-responder
Asked for other names

A “bashing party”
Ensued; was not my intent
The post was removed

Yes, apologize
When you’re wrong just admit it
Shed some honest light

Shed light in the dark
Make amends the best you can
Even a dim light

This dim little light
Is all that I have to give,
But I’ll let it shine.

This little dim light
Is fueled by Love and the Truth
That’s all I can show

Lesson learned!
Thanks for visiting JanBeek
Have a Terrific Tuesday!

P.S.
Thanks for praying about my outta sight blood pressure.
It is coming down.
God is good!

Yes! “When you’re wrong just admit it” – and then move forward. I’m sorry you had to deal with that stress but hopefully the end result will be positive and you will get the repair you need completed successfully today! Big hugs to you MomBee!

  2. Good to hear your blood pressure is coming down. I don’t know how anyone would be offended by your posts. Your light still shines brightly!

    • Thank you! It was a post on a local social media site. Asking for recommendations for a local plumber and mentioning the one we usually count on who was too busy to return our calls. I didn’t mean to get a “Bash Party” started and was really saddened by the cruelty of the name calling!

      • Oh that did not go well!

      • No, not well at all. But hopefully “all’s well that ends well.” I wrote an apology and explanation and have rec’d nothing but positives since then. I hope it helps rather than hurts our busy, capable original plumber 👍🏽❤️

  3. I’m so pleased to hear your BP down Jan. I missed the post … Your light always shines .. I’m certain that what ever the altercation it was not intended with malice..
Sending love and hugs your way Jan. 🤗 💗💕💗

  4. It is such a shame when people have lost the old idea of being at least a little polite. And FYIO mine has come down to 145/88 so I’m not ready for the celestial choir just yet.

    • I’ll be happy when mine stabilizes at the mid 140’s. Thnx for the encouragement. I’m not ready for St. Peter’s greeting yet either.

  5. I’m pleased that you explained in the comments.

Glad you are doing better blood pressure wise. All okay here. Busy with grandchildren and running them here and there which I am so glad I can help with. Matthew will take drivers training this year in high school. Bill is holding his own but has memory problems especially short term.

  7. Praise God that your blood pressure is coming down! Your post is a great reminder to let my light shine.

  8. Jan, I always appreciate your honest and genuine approach to dealing with the noise around us. May the Light continue to lead us to our blessed opportunities.
