What has made you glad today?
Are you thanking God for this day?
I will reJOYce for He has made me glad.
This is such a beautiful spring day –
The weather is a gift from God
and
My dear husband, Bob, has our yard
Looking like a very inviting park.
Come sit awhile with me.
Enjoy the birds singing.
Enjoy the sunshine.
Let the peacefulness
of the mountain vistas
Make you glad!
Let your heart sing with the music of the birds!
So beautiful!
I had a yellow chested blackbird singing to me this morning-
-and while up in my sanctuary, a pair of doves
landed on the garage roof
and sang their hearts out.
(Thank God
it wasn’t those
“common cranes”
or the “snipe”
or the “corn crepe.”
Those would have driven me crazy!
(If you glide your cursor over the red line on the video,
it will tell you what kind of bird you are listening to.
The European turtle dove sounds like those we have here.
They make me glad!

Our friend, Jim, took a break
from his yard work today
and came to visit for awhile.
Friends who drop by to visit
make my heart glad!
Tomorrow I get to spend time with his wife,
my good friend, Terry.
We’ll share a lunch and catch up on life.
Sharing life with friends makes me glad!
“Serve the Lord with gladness;
come before His presence with singing.”
Psalm 100:2
What makes you glad?
Share with me…
Your comments make me glad!
EMBRACE GLADNESS!

A great post Jan! The song brings back so many good memories! We have so much to be thankful for. Your Photos are wonderful. Good to see your beautiful geraniums!
Have a great day!
Dwight
Thanks, {{{Dwight}}} – I hope our drip system works to keep those geraniums alive while we’re gone this week. The weather really warmed up. It was 93 when we were driving in to BZN today!!
Wow! It was like that here a week ago!
Seems like such a fun place.
Yes, it is!! <3
This is the day the Lords has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it!
Your husband did amazing with the backyard. Loving all the colours! .
Thank you! I love that scripture and the song that goes with it… “This is the day, this is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice. I will rejoice. I will rejoice and be glad in it!” Yes!!!! <3
Jan, thanks for reminding us of all of the goodness which surrounds us. From nature’s vistas to our family and neighbors, we have so much to be thankful for.
