Fun at the Phipps

The Phipps Arboretum in Pittsburgh is an amazing place. We visited there with Jodie this morning. I took all kinds of pictures so I could share the experience with you. I hope you enjoy these amazing plants, decorated trees, and flowers.

One whole area in the museum was devoted to plants from Cuba. That area was very humid and warm.
Another area was devoted to the North Pole Christmas theme.
These reindeer were made out of sponges!
The gigantic glass flowers in the next picture were created by Jason Gamrath, a student of glass artist, Chihuly
Take a look at these unusual orchids. The sign said, “Transvaal.”
I love the ruffly white orchids.
Jodie was fascinated by the spotted orchids.
“Wine spots” – interesting, huh?

Thanks for touring with us.
I hope you enjoyed the flowers as much as we did!

See ya later…
I’m headed to the Masonic Home to play with Liam.

Speak Kindly

November is here
It’s a month for gratitude
To be your Center

Live with Thanksgiving
First and foremost in your life
Always speak kindly

I’m imagining
A month of only kindness
Make it a habit

Let’s make it a pact
I’m committed to do it
Please say you’ll join me!

Kindness is
Love Personified!

Write in the comments
that you’ll join me in this
Month of Gratitude,
Thanksgiving, and Kindness, okay?
Let’s form a habit.

Have a wonderful weekend.
See ya later.

Love My Gardener!

I Love My Gardener

trees yard sky
Yes, I love my gardener!
He does such careful work –
I never see him stoppin’
Or takin’ time to shirk.
.
He keeps the trees so green,
The lawn so trimmed and bright.
He fertilizes flowers
And trims dead ones just right.
.
He takes great care of all;
Pulls weeds when they just creep in.
I love my gardener so much –
I think I’d better keep him!

Don’t you?

Bet you wish you had a gardener like mine, huh?
Well – you can’t have him!

It’s my sweet husband, Bob – busy at work –
changing a sprinkler head.
(Don’t ask him to smile right now;
He says, “I’m busy!”)

Love my gardener!
heart of love
See you tomorrow!
