There’s no time like now
To enjoy some great dog days –
So, sit down and smile!

for TazE to do this stretch.
We call her “Frog Dog!

As a puppy in basket.
She’s a snuggler now.

in the car, she’s a snuggler.
Loves to burrow in!

using my coat for blanket.
Hey, go get your own!

TazE’s a great companion.
Have you a dog pal?

is unconditional love.
It’s personified!

Happy 26th birthday
to Granddaughter Hope!!

than the love of a puppy!
It fixes all ills.

during our 58 years.
Each still part of us.

are always good and fun sports –
– in every season!

with soulful eyes and sad look?
Or full of sparkle?

Whether sleek, fluffy,
great big, small, or in between,
dogs are good buddies.

is a happy day, indeed.
I can testify!

dogs always make life’s journey
more joyful travel.
Do you have a dog
to ease your earthly journey?
I would love to hear.
Maybe there’s a cat.
They travel a different road!
Is yours a lap cat?

If you’re like Derrick,
You have a bird’s company.
Their songs cheer your days.

Have you met him?
I’m all about finding cheer and comfort and companionship in these pandemic days. Where is your happy source (besides your spouse or God)??

See ya tomorrow.

I’d love to get another dog but our life is still so uncertain. Perhaps further down the road!
Yes, when you are more settled, I can see you enjoying another Boston! <3
Jan, your love for these “dog days” is bubbling up from your sweet Haiku series and photos. My two Ohio daughters each have a dog, and my wife and I serve as their extra special doggy sitters.
I imagine being dogsitters for your daughter’s furry friends gives you enough puppy love to satisfy your needs. It’s a little like grandchildren. You can love ’em and spoil ’em and then send them home when you want to! <3
What a cute little dog! Pets teach us how to love!
They do indeed!!
