Humility Reigns
Its opposite is boasting
Let others do it!
Colossians 3:12
Therefore, as God’s chosen people,
holy and dearly loved,
clothe yourselves with
compassion,
kindness,
humility,
gentleness
and
patience.
Luke 14:11
For all those who exalt themselves
will be humbled,
and those who humble themselves
will be exalted.”
With humility
Offer whatever you have
With a cheerful heart
Good to be brilliant
But bragging about your smarts
Dulls intelligence
Let the compliments –
Accolades about your job –
Come from other folks
So, be generous
With giving out accolades
Show your gratitude
Thanks for your service
Thanks for your affirmations
You give so humbly
Humility Reigns
It’s not easy to achieve
In a “You deserve it” society
Step out of your skin
And step into others’ lives
Everyone needs praise
You can find the words
Tell someone they’re marvelous
It’s not hard to do!
Proverbs 27:2
“Let someone else praise you,
and not your own mouth;
an outsider,
and not your own lips.”
We think you are marvelous!

Thank you for reading and affirming, {{{Charlotte.}}} You’re just too marvelous for words! <3
You’re much, too much, and just too very very
To ever be in Webster’s dictionary
And so I’m borrowing a love song from the birds
To tell you that you’re marvelous
Too marvelous for words
Don’t you love that song, Laina? Yes, YOU are too marvelous for words. {{{I love YOU}}} <3
I often felt humble in my work. Nat was a wonderfully mellow singer.
Yes, Derrick, Nat King Cole had the most mellow voice I’d ever heard. He was often pictured with his beloved pipe. Little did he realize it would cause his early demise. He died waaaaay too young of throat cancer… back in the days when little was known about the deadly effects of tobacco.
Funnily enough, a recording of him singing Sweet Lorraine came on TV this afternoon.
Synchronicity! I don’t believe in coincidence! <3
