And below is my granddaughter, Hope,
with three of my five great-grandchildren.

Tonight Bob & I met Charlotte

for the first time!

Behold,
children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one’s youth.
Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!

Behold, I fill my quiver with them!

Holding this contented little “Peanut” was such a thrill!
We cooed with one another.

As some of you know,
Charlotte had a scary beginning
as she was transported by ambulance
back to the hospital
when she was just two days new.

Thank God she’s ok now.
Thank you again for your prayers.

Here’s another great-granddaughter,

  1. “Happy Talk” made my day, Jan. Yes, let’s have a lot of happy talk! Anything that makes people happy at any age. Best thing is, when the generations have something to talk about to each other. And of course, children of any age, should be a part of that.
    I was chatting the other day face to face with a lovely 81 year old American lady. I came from Germany 64 years ago. Me, being 88 now, liked very much chatting with this American Great-Grandmother especially, since I am a Great-Grandmother myself! Both of us are Australian now. So, we had a lot to chat about.
    You show a very nice chatting corner in that picture that you publiched, Jan. This corner for sure invites us to chat for a while.

    • Thank you, Laina. Yes, the Gravel Bar was the perfect spot to meet them. They had their own play area over behind our table… ad the had fun escaping that area and going around to the customers at the other outdoor tables, high-fiving them… and the folks were so kind to high-five ’em back and not seem disturbed! Busy little ones, for sure!

  9. Awesome! Jan, your photos and words say so much. Love flows throughout this post, as well it should. Last week, Colleen and I were blessed to witness our grandson’s induction into National Honor Society, and we attended our granddaughter’s spring choir concert.
