Keep their great ideas in sight
Aren’t afraid to take great risks
They grow through failures
It can be painful
And expensive when we fail
Pick up the pieces
Examine the parts
Carefully rearrange them
Then find new uses
Look at those messes
As valuable mistakes
I’m off to visit my friend, Bern, in the hospital. He has a creative mess in his hospital room… feathers and wires, hooks and string, paints and brushes, easels and canvases all over the place. But, instead of sitting or lying in his bed feeling sorry for himself because an infection has rendered his legs too weak to walk steadily these days, he is using his creativity to bring joy to life while his body heals.
You and I can do that, too.
We can bring joy to life
by using our
What mess do you have
that is waiting for resurgent rearranging
and new uses today?
Go do it!

Praying for a quick recovery for Bern. Bless you for visiting.
Thanks, Laina. He is feeling better today. They moved him to a bigger room where he has more space to spread out his projects!! <3
Oh I love this! I sounds like me and my last blog. We ALL are creative people! Our specialties are as varied as the flowers in the field. But we are all unique with our own special callings. Like you and your writing!
Thank you so much for your beautiful response and lovely compliment. We each have been given various talents & skills. I hope my use of those gifts God has given me make my Creator smile. Hugs to you, my friend. 🥰
Glad Bern is doing what he is so passionate about in the hospital room. Bless you for visiting him🙏🏻
He made some beautiful flies. I pictured a table full of them today.
My desk is in the hallway. It is a mess but I know where everything is. 🙂
That’s better than hiding everything to make it all look neat – and then not knowing where anything is!
“Valuable mistakes as creative lessons” I love this. Truly beautiful.
Thank you! We are all indebted to those creative mistakes, aren’t we?
Jan, your Haiku poetry is priceless. It adds a special, personal touch to this post. God’s peace!
Thank you, Richard. I appreciate you affirmation. Have a happy healthy day! <3
