Today’s Prompt was:
What positive emotion do you feel most often?
My Response:
Gratitude

So we called our friends.
They came. Four of them!
We all searched.
Still no luck.

(we’d already searched there thoroughly).

there was a black and white nose
sticking out from under Bob’s chair!!
Kenny had squeezed under to fetch a toy –
and he got stuck!!
Whew!!!😥
We lifted the chair to release him.
Gratitude?
Ah yes!! 👏🏽

Thank You, God,
Thank You, Jesus!
Thank You for neighbors,
for answered prayers,
for the safety of our pup!
Whew!!

I’m grateful for it, too.
Do you have a memory quilt?

And no, Kenny doesn’t usually get to lie on it!
It was a retirement gift from my teaching colleagues
when I retired back in 1999.
The sentiments on it
and the remembrances
are so precious!

Marta Garcia did the stitching
and each of my colleagues at school
added a piece with their name
and sometimes a sentiment.
“Stitched with dreams of traveling forever,”
Marta wrote.
If you live in Ennis, Montana
with the Madison River running through it
and the spectacular Rocky Mountains as your backdrop,
and people from all over the world coming here to fish
and to just relax and enjoy the peace, the open spaces,
the wild animals, and the proximity to Yellowstone,
then you live daily with an attitude of gratitude,
and guess what?
Traveling forever is not a daily prayer.
We are grateful that you come to us!
Keep doing it!
What positive emotion do you feel most often?
Cheers from JanBeek

Oh My…. I am so glad you found him, and goodness, poor lad… I bet he will not be squeezing himself under your hubby’s chair again in a hurry.. Bless him…
That quilt is gorgeous Jan, I so admired it in the first picture with Kenny.. And even more so close up with all those lovely sentiments from your friends and work colleagues..
indeed… Gratitude… One of the best… And what a true bonus to live with such wonderful views on your doorstep..
I am very grateful for HAPPY Endings… and so pleased we have had a few of those in our family circle recently too..
Much love and Blessings your way..
And I hope Kenny is none the worse for his experience, along with his Mum and Dad..
Love and Hugs dear Jan xx <3
Thank you, Sue. Kenny seems undaunted by the experience. It left us pretty shaken, though! I’m glad you liked the quilt – and have an understanding of how precious such sentiments are .. more so as time goes by!
I can only imagine your distress…. Thank goodness Kenny is okay… And that quilt is beautiful xxx
Thank you, Sue!
I’m SOOOOO glad you found Kenny! How very scary for you! I’m grateful that you have dear friends who you can count on in times of need. I can’t WAIT to see you next month!
Thank you! I’m grateful that you’re coming!!
What a great post, Jan. How dramatic! As I get older I can’t distinguish where sounds are coming from as well as I used to. Glad you found your pup. It is always great to have friends who are ready to come and help in time of need.
Yes, thank God for our helpful friends!
:>)
I should also mention, your setting is wonderful. Such a beautiful spot on God’s green earth. No need to travel, just sit on the porch! :>)
That’s not my house, but I am on a ridge above that and enjoy the view from my deck, too. Thanks, Dwight.
Very nice!!
Oh, Jan!! I’m so HAPPY you found Kenny, safe and sound!!! Bless his little heart! I love your memory quilt. What a treasure! I have several things from my teaching friends (they made me a photo album and wrote a note to me in a journal). Like you, I’m always filled with GRATITUDE!! Much love and blessings, Karla ❣️🙏🏻🐾
Thank you, Karla. I wish you lived closer. We’d be best friends, I’m sure!👍🏽
A fine post on a feeling with which I identify
Thank you very much, Derrick.
So thankful that Kenny was found. Jan, I could feel both the worry and praise in your heartfelt words. Thanks so much for sharing your memory quilt. My heart is filled with gratitude today (and everyday) for the love God sent me in the form of Colleen. God’s peace be with you and Bob.
Thank you so much, dear Richard!
Thank you, Dick. Hugs to you & Colleen. I’m sure you have memorable objects of gratitude from your career, too.
