I really enjoyed re-reading your “remembering pop” blog. You have so many wonderful qualities passed down from your dad. I think he and my dad would’ve gotten along well. My dad always had a package of saltines on the table next to the butter dish. He would sit and butter his crackers to eat along with some sharp cheddar cheese while reading his Bible or waiting for supper. Ice cream at night was a must for us too and never in a tiny dish! Dessert was with sauce, nuts, whipped cream and a maraschino cherries. ☺️ Happy Father’s Day to all dads!

    • That blog about remembering Pop was a reblog from my friend, Dwight. My dad was quite different from Dwight’s , but I really liked the way he recalled such wonderful, vivid memories if his father, so I had to share it.

    • Thank you Elaina, for you kind comments and to Jan for reposting this one.

  2. Well worth the reblog

  3. Thank you Jan for reposting this from Dwight’s blog. Our fathers are called to share so much of themselves in our childhood’s most vital moments. Praises to all Dad’s who’ve answered this calling.
