Take time to smell the flowers
Along lifeβs busy road
Their fragrance fills your senses
And lightens your heavy load

Flowers are companions
Like pups, our furry friends
Who give love unconditionally
No faking – no pretends

Flowers lift our spirits
In ways little else can do
Take time to smell the flowers
Iβm sending these to you

Take time …
See ya tomorrow

Thanks Jan. Unfortunately, a pulmonary condition has left me without a sense of smell (which can be a good thing sometimes!). It’s odd, though, how I can ‘imagine’ scents in my mind … like the pinks my dad grew in the garden (and his pipe smoke) and Coty L’aimont, the perfume my mum wore.
I love the picture of the dog sniffing the Sunflowers. π
My condolences. I lost my sense of smell temporarily a couple years ago. I think there are worse fates.
Most definitely, Jan! Imagine if we lost our sense of humour. π
Oh, Lesley, and thank you for sharing. A blessed day to you! β₯οΈ
And you too, Jan.π
Thank you! Even the dog takes time to smell the flowers! π€£

Yes, we ALL need to take time… even TazE! Isn’t she a character?
Thank you Jan, no better reminder right now to count your blessings and enjoy the fragrance of a beautiful Spring day…
Loved your poem and enjoyed your choice of photos too <3
Take care of you.. <3
Thanks so much, Sue.

Nicely put, Jan
Thanks, Derrick. I know you and Jackie take time not just to smell the flowers, but to plant, cultivate, fertilize, and enjoy them in a multitude of ways… and you take time to enjoy Nugget and his/her song at the same time. Lucky you!! <3
Beautifully composed Jan. The imagery is so vivid, lovely photographs too!πΉ
Thank you so much! I appreciate your visit and comment. <3
