New Formats?

WordPress is trying to get us to use new formats. In the process, I lost connection with my real site. I have been a member since 2018 and all of a sudden it said I didn’t exist. I guess I was trying to set up a new e-mail since my yahoo account is so full of junk, I lose the things I want to see the most. Hmmm… I finally found JanBeek and for now I will stick with the yahoo email. I don’t want to lose touch with you, my favorite WordPress friends!

Yesterday I was reading through a scrapbook created by Bob’s Great-GrandmaFoster and I stopped to take a picture of this page. I love the poem. GrandmaFoster was born in 1852! She died when my husband was 12 years old. She was sharp as a tack at age 99!! Her scrapbook is a treasure! Here is the poem… it fits you, my friends. Thank you for being here.

Thank you for caring!
Have a blessed weekend!

  1. Love the poem. What a blessing to be able to go through such a treasure. 😃

  2. Too bad about your WP episode. The digital world is constantly changing. Not what I like at all. I have stayed with the same format since 2016. I use the free site and to change it in any way would screw it all up for me! The keep wanting me to upgrade, but they have not kicked me off yet, so I am good!

I love the poem, Jan, and totally agree with its premise. Friends are what make life beautiful.

Lovely photos of your family and great grand baby.

How beautiful. I’ve read it to several friends already. Of course I quoted the coach’s great grandmother for credit

    • I’m sorry the poet’s name was not fully copied at the bottom. Her name is L Louise H? It’s actually cut off in the scrapbook, too.

  4. I love the poem but it did sadden just a little because I have so few left. In fact I have many more on my blog but they are falling away too.

  5. WP can be such a pain. I’m pleased you are managing to navigate it. A fine poem from the scrapbook

  6. I am so pleased you managed to regain your Blog site again Jan… WP makes changes often where none are needed.. And delving into the settings is often a nightmare..
I did think of revamping my theme I have kept since 2010 when I transferred.. But I hear so many stories of woe when one changes.. So I revamped my colour chart background instead.. 🙂

I wound not like to lose my closest WP family of friends either Jan…

And wow… to that poem… It speaks volumes…
I made both my children last year a scrap book of photos and memories of their childhood and their grand parents and great grandparents with a little history which often gets forgotten in future generations..

I hope mine lasts as long, and is as treasured as the one you shared with us..

MUCH love to you both xx <3 💕💖

  7. I’m so blessed to have such a good friend in Elaina. She’s a treasure!

  8. I empathize with the forced changes from WordPress. They said my old theme was no longer supported and I had to pick a new one. It’s more difficult for me to use but there was no loss of content, just some weird formatting things. I’m glad you got your blog back. What a treasure Grandma Foster’s scrapbook is. Thanks for sharing it with us.
