I don’t like to focus on fruitful days. I don’t remember them often. I actually spend my time looking forward to visiting my daughter and my grandchildren and reading comments on my blog.
When I was in grade school, helping my grandfather in his garden was a blessing. But one garden tip he said to me was, a person who has fruit trees will be a wealthy person. As someone who had a commercial orchard, I’ll tell you what I found to be true. You don’t make much money in agriculture. You don’t have many friends because you work all day and into the night. But your riches come from eating good food all year long, breathing clean air, getting great exercise and enjoying life each day. I understand what he meant.
Jan, thank you for encouraging each of us to embrace every fruitful moment which life brings us. We have so much in our lives to be grateful for. God’s peace be with you and Bob.
I have always enjoyed life (the challenges not so much) and have tried many things over the years. I must say that my retirement years have been some of my most fruitful years, thanks to friend like you on the blog and time to pursue writing and painting as well. I have done things the past ten years that I never would have dreamed I could do, because of people around me that encouraged me and enjoyed what I was able to accomplish. I am glad to see that you continue to stay active and involved in your pursuits as well.
