No, it isn’t Christmas! But this is Day #3 in an A-Z series as a follow-up to “What Makes Me Happy?” It was suggested that I choose one of those items per day and then use it as a topic for a blog. I thought that was a great idea. So, I’m doing it. Why does Christmas – and just the thought of it – makes me happy?
Christmas is Christ Mass

It ain’t about the presents
It ain’t about the toys
It ain’t about Santa Claus
And greedy girls and boys!

It ain’t about the glitter,
Surprises under the tree,
Or what I chose for sister,
Or what she chose for me.
.
It’s all about the Christ Child,
The One who came for me.
It’s celebrating Christ mass by
Giving, knowing He set me free.
.
I give because I’m grateful.
It ain’t no reindeer trick;
And all them elves at workshop
Make my stomach kinda sick!
.
We’ve commercialized the Lord’s Day,
We’ve made it about us.
We’ve taken out the meaning.
I’m throwing quite a fuss!

Yes, Christmas makes me happy
When I think of all the mirth
The Lord brought to our lives
By His Holy, saving birth.
.
Keep the real meaning of Christmas
Alive in your heart each day.
Spread the love of Christ fully
In a Merry Christ mass way!

Thanks Dorothy … but actually, He never left it! WE (as a culture) just tried to exclude Him… substitute Him for a guy in a red suit. He’s not buyin’ it!! Neither am I!!
