What’s a Metaphor for Your Heart?
My heart is a jigsaw puzzle
Each piece fits in its own place
There is a huge place that only God can fill
No other piece fits
And I’d feel an enormous emptiness
Without Him in my heart.

God is the love piece
That fills me with compassion
I pray you’ve found Him
Here is an old treasure of mine:
Copyrighted in 1906 – and
given as a gift in 1908,
the year my mother-in-law was born.
This wonderful old book helps me focus on God’s puzzle piece each morning before I leave my sanctuary and face the challenges of the day. My mother-in-law found it at a “Flea Market” in California back in the 1960s and bought it for a dollar. I inherited it from her. It’s priceless! I love reading its daily prayers.
Today’s prayer spoke to that God place in my heart:
This is my prayer for you on this 12th day of July.
The “dead” to whom it refers are
the hardened of heart.
The ones who haven’t filled that God-space yet.
I am certain that’s not you, my friend!
May your loving, soft heart be refreshed today!
Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.
What’s your heart’s metaphor?
See ya tomorrow.
