Don’t Understand

What’s something most people don’t understand?

If “most people” are folks like me,
they don’t understand
why bad things
happen to good people
and some “bad people” seem to prosper.

Evil is not cute!

Why do some evil folks
seem to accumulate wealth & comfort
while the righteous suffer poverty, loneliness, and pain?

I want the bad to be punished
and the good to be rewarded.

Why doesn’t it seem to work that way
in too many cases!?

Let Justice Reign!

Amos 5:24
ESV

“But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”

Amen?

  1. I often wonder this myself. I feel more at peace realizing God sees the whole picture and HIS plan will prevail. Thanks for sharing:)

  2. Some in my life might question Why? I pray that my sons are not angry with God. Yet, I know they’re trying to understand. I knew for 7 years something was wrong. When I left education to pursue workkamping in my RV, to heal, to try something new…one scan, Jan! One scan might have caught it! I’m not dying of Stage IV cancer, I’m LIVING with it! It’s rare! It’s everywhere and the treatments are helping. But taking a toll on my bone marrow and quality of life. I’m preparing for treatment number 3 out of 4. God only knows! None of us are promised tomorrow! You will understand this~I feel it an honor to suffer. It’s in suffering that my intimate relationship with Christ has grown. He KNOWS what it’s like to live and suffer as a human. I have God’s peace. No matter what, I’m healed! I don’t ask, “Why me?”, I’ve asked, “Why not me?” I’m going to praise HIM no matter what! ❤️

  3. Thank goodness there is more good in our world than evil. God wins!

  4. I don’t understand why so many people choose not to co-operate and die, when they could have chosen to co-operate and still be alive.

  5. Our imperfect world reflects mankind’s weaknesses. Thankfully, God never wavers in his love for us.
