Here is a link to my post on “Bloganuary” today.
The prompt for today is “Why Do You Like to Write?”
I tried posting on the Bloganuary WordPress site
rather than writing the message here.
I am trying to see if that results in more WordPress readers
who also are taking this 31 day challenge to answer
a given prompt each day. We’ll see.

I am still in Placerville at my son, Ty’s house.
My coughing and sneezing was so bad this morning
that I was banned to my bedroom! No fun!!
But this RSV (respiratory virus) is highly contagious –
and I do not want to give it to Ty & Monika.
(I hope I have not done so already!)
Bob is feeling better,
but getting very tired of being house-bound.
His miserable cough is almost gone.
Praise God for answered prayers!
Now it’s my turn to turn the corner…
Keep those prayers coming!
I need ’em!|
Love,
JanBeek
P.S.
At least I have a warm house
to stay in –
with loving family
to take care of me –
and there’s sunshine outside!
I am not complaining!
Could be a lot worse!!

Oh Wow Jan! You guys are getting it big time. Doesn’t sound like a fun time for sure! I will keep you in my prayers. Glad Bob is doing better!

Thank you, Dwight. He is about 4 days ahead of me in his recovery. Appreciate your prayers 😍🙏🏽
Praying for you both Jan. Hope you have sunnier days ahead really soon! 💜
Thank you, Renee 😍👌🏽
You’re welcome🙂
I’m continuing prayers Jan! I’m glad Bob is better. Thank you for inspiring us always! ❤️🙏🏻
Thank you for your sympathy. I am ready for this coughing virus to be gone!!
Hi Jan,
Glad to hear that Bob is getting better! 🙏🏻❤️ Sorry to hear that you are now sick too. We will be praying for you and continue to pray for Bob.
Hailey just finished a prescription of amoxicillin on Wednesday. She had been sick and then it turned into a terrible cough that just wouldn’t go away. (I also got it.) I took her in and they tested her for RSV, the flu, and COVID. All came back negative, but the Dr. said there’s been a bunch of sickness going around. Hope you can rest and feel better soon. 🙏🏻
Don’t ask me why I am just now seeing this January response from you, Steph… but here it is! And you’re in Nebraska now, right? My turn to pray for you and for your safe travels! Bee well!!
So sorry you caught it too – it’d encouraging that Bob is getting better XX
Thank you for your sympathy. I appreciate it. I am ready to be well again. This RSV is the pits for infants and elderly. I guess I fall into the latter category even though I’m young at heart. Illness has a way of making us admit things… like I’m not as young as I used to be, and my immune system is not as strong as it once was… and I need to take up the 4 R’s: rest, relax, rejuvenate, and read. Reading comments and other people’s posts is a great pastime when you’re sequestered! I was so busy doing that yesterday that I missed the midnight deadline for getting Bloganuary#9 posted! Oh well… back to square one!
I am sorry you have caught it too, Jan. It is encouraging that Bob is feeling better X
Thank you, Derrick, for your sympathy. Sorry helps!
Praying for a speedy recovery! Although you are stuck in the room, at least your son’s family is on the other side of the door. Hugs…
Yes, the glass is half full… gotta look on the bright side!! <3
Oh No not you too! So sorry about that. Love to you and Bob, get well soon. XXXJackie.
Thank you, Jackie. I need to get some sleep. Can’t heal a restless body!
Stay strong, momma dear! I love you! 🥰❤️💋😘
I like your positive reflection at the end of today’s blog. It comforts me to know that you both are under the close watch of Ty & Monica. I’d rather know that you’re there and not home in cold Montana with possible floor construction going on. Your lungs don’t need any added dust. I’m praying daily for your quick recovery. Love to you!
Thank you. Bob is back to 100%. Now it’s my turn!
