Sometimes being odd,
Being the one who’s different,
Is so very hard.
We are often birds –
Birds of a feather who flock
Together as one.
We have such trouble
Being the one who’s left out.
It takes bravery!
But we are called now
To be safe and be unique.
Follow the orders.
When others refuse
And head for the beach or bar,
You just stay at home.
Be Mona Lisa –
Hunkering down in your house –
Safe from the others.
Free from suffering,
Value human connection,
But, just limit it!!
I love that baby!
His expression is priceless.
Does he mirror you?
Stay at home, you say?
I’m stuck here with my grandma?
When will all this end?
Pray with me:
No one knows for sure
When darkness will turn to light.
But yes, it will come.
Meantime, hang in there!
Pray, hope, and reach out in love.
Spread kindness and peace.
Thanks for visiting JanBeek.
Tell me how you’re doing.
Is everything okay with you and your family?
See ya tomorrow.

Another good set of verses and illustrations
Thank you. Have a great day, Derrick. What are the first lines of the nursery rhyme that then asks, How does your garden grow? With silver bells and cockle shell…”? You brought that out of my cobwebs today 🤪

“… and pretty maids all in a row.” It’ll come to me!
Oh, this is a delightful video… thank you so much, Derrick. I don’t know why I couldn’t come up with Mary, Mary quite contrary! My mind was being quite contrary, for sure! Whew! Now I can stop worrying about that lapse! Thank you!!
Wonderful words and sage advice! Thanks Jan.
Thank you for your visit and comment, Fran. You make me smile 😃

I’m glad you liked it. Thank you for your visit and comment. Have a Fabulous Friday!
We all have differences which make us unique. God intended it to be this way. All of my family is safe, and I am so thankful for this. I look forward to the day when I can actually touch my newest grandson in Montana.
I hope you can do that sooner than later… safe and sound.
