Ever wanted to
Wear your angel wings right now?
Why wait for heaven?
Here I am in wings
Before my heavenly home
How did that happen?
Sadly, fifty-eight
Beautiful souls were gunned down;
But their souls live on.
Riverside City
Has many wings on display
For would-be angels.
They’re just waiting for
Angelic folks like I’m not –
Ready to pose there.
Doesn’t it look fun
To pretend you’ve earned your wings
Long before you do?
Keep working at it!
You, too, can look angelic…
Now – try acting it!!
After our angel tour in Riverside, we went with Janet and Charley to the Mission Inn. The Christmas decorations all still were up – only of course, the outdoor light display was not twinkling. We could see all the light bulbs, though. Must have been a million of them.
I hope you had a happy Saturday, too.
You can see mine was quite enjoyable.
I think I already see some feathers growing …
See ya tomorrow.

By the way, did I tell you my maiden name is DeAngeles? I think that’s Italian for “of Angels” – right? I have a collection of angels up in my sanctuary. You should come visit!!
I loooooove these angelic photos of you, Mom! 😇 Hope you have a lovely Sunday!
Thank you, DeDe. We’re headed to church here in Riverside this morning – and will have a relaxed afternoon in the CA sunshine with Janet & Charley this afternoon. You have a great evening!!
I can think of so many problems a pair of wings can solve for me. For starters, I would be able to avoid this awful traffic and fly gracefully to my home in less than ten minutes.
Your photos are so colourful and nice. Happy Sunday!
Ah yes, I would love to have been able to fly above all that traffic. Happy Sunday to you, Obinna. I appreciate your visit and your comment.
So beautiful and I like the idea of testing the wing look … just a very sad reason for the existence. Lovely photos and a special post, Jan! Wishing you a fabulous rest of the weekend! Xx
Thank you, Annika. Yes, it is a sad reason for that first set of wings to be there. There are 58 of those scattered around. But the others are happy wings at a quirky place called Tio’s Tacos in Riverside. Unlike the first beautiful set made of mosaic tiles, the others are made can lids!
