Beautiful Montana Night

It was a gorgeous sky

Clouds threatening rain

They presented quite a show

As we left the dinner last night

And headed home from Corral Creek

Where we’d attended a dinner

In a tent where there was a fundraiser

To raise money toward noxious weed eradication

Only in Montana!

As the auction continued,

Art items were selling for thousands of dollars

Well past the range of my pocketbook!

Lots of rich wannabe cowboys

Owners of large spreads

Bidding each other up

All for a good cause,

But I couldn’t help thinking

How many wells for clean water

Those dollars coulda dug!

Have a beautiful Sunday morning.

See ya after church.

  1. Jan, thank you for sharing a wonderful Montana night. Even shrouded in clouds, the Big Sky is awesome. The food looks great, but I smiled with your phrase “wannabe cowboys.”. I totally understand where you are coming from.

  2. I wonder what Jesus thought…

“How many wells for clean water
    Those dollars coulda dug!

I wonder what Jesus thinks when He examines our finances?

Great thought-provoking post! Lord help us to be good stewards of the resources that you give us, and help us to seek you in our living and giving!!!

    • Thanks for reading and leaving your comment. Helps to know I have like-minded friends out there! 👍🏽❤️

      • While many would argue the fact that a place like this doesn’t exist in the body of Christ, I beg to differ. I live with the God-given faith, belief, and expectation that there is…..

“Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all [a]speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment……..1 Corinthians 1:10
