My Heart Aches
and
I’m hanging it out to dry
and
I’m hanging it out to dry
.
.
As the snow falls outside and rests
Heavy on the evergreen branches,
.
I rest, too, heavy and troubled in
The warmth of my peaceful indoors.
.
.
My sister’s diagnosis of
Severe dementia and apathy syndrome
.
.
.
Plucks sadly at my heartstrings
And plays a mournful tune.
.
.
My heart aches to soar
Above the clouds of sadness.
.
.
My feet long to trek
Green paths of creation’s gladness.
.
.
My Heart Aches
and
I’m hanging it out to dry.

I ache with yours❤
Thank you, Dorothy. This is a difficult time. She is in PA and I am in MT. Too much distance! I would love to be able to be there with her often – lending love and support. The good news is that her daughter and grandson are only 5 minutes away and they visit her often.
You’re welcome. That’s good she has her daughter and grandson. Send love however you can. She’ll feel it.
Thank you, Dorothy. I will… and I know she will, too. <3
This touched my heart, really!
Thank you, Betul. Your prayers for Sally and her emotional peace will be much appreciated. <3
I’m so sorry you’re feeling troubled 😞I will be visiting your sister very soon. I’ll give her an extra hug from you 🥰
Oh yes, DeDe, please do!!! <3 And remember, Sally does has not heard all of these diagnoses, so do not reveal this to her!
So sorry about your sister
Thank you for your words of understanding. 🤗
